The 70" Headache Rack with Hydraulic Tank is your all-in-one storage and hydraulic tank solution, packing a durable headache rack and hydraulic tank into one space-efficient setup. Built from strong, lightweight ⅛" aluminum, it’s tough enough to handle the road but light enough not to blow through your fuel. The hydraulic tank fits nicely between the rack’s legs, saving you frame space without sacrificing volume. Choose from three tank sizes to give you whatever you need to get the job done: 30, 50, or 70 gallons. It’s got four ports at the bottom with 2" fittings for easy hydraulic hookups, a side-mounted temperature gauge for easy monitoring, and a vented fill on top to keep the pressure right. Installation is easy with everything you need for secure mounting included.
As stated in the NSC Standard 10: Cargo Securement, Divsion 5 – Front End Structures – Application 23(3) A cab shield (Headache rack) is not a front end structure or part of a cargo securement system. Therefore NO D.O.T. requirements/approvals are applicable. • Headache racks cannot meet the requirements of CFR 393.114.a. Cargo must be in contact with the front end structure for the CFR 393.114.a to apply. Iconic MetalGear promotes that all operators be in compliance with all other load securement requirements as stated in 393.100 to 393.142. "As per the Ministry of Transportations" Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator’s Safety Manual” the following applies: Within Module 14 – Cargo Securement, it refers to requirements that are adopted from the National Safety Code (NSC) Standard 10, Cargo Securement, as the standard for securing loads in Ontario. Referenced in the subsection “Requirements for Securement Devices” it talks to Front End structures and that the rules concerning this topic are included in NSC Standard 10.

The size of the hydraulic tank you need depends on your application. Iconic offers three standard sizes of hydraulic tanks, only paired with the Iconic racks. 30 GAL, 50 GAL, and 70 GAL.
The three standard widths are 70”, 76”, and 86”, and all standard headache racks are 68” high. All standard Flat Racks have a 1/8″ checkerplate aluminum body.
The width of the headache rack depends entirely on the width of the truck cab, along with any interferences that may be behind the truck cab (stacks, for example).
