The Custom Backlit Text Light Bar: How to Get it and Why You’ll Want One
The Custom Text Backlit Lightbar might be one of the coolest headache rack cusomization options we offer…
Truckers are always looking for ways to stand out. Often, a way that they choose to stand out is by customizing their truck with accessories that make their truck unique. When adding additional storage options to your truck becomes a necessity, we thought it would be a cool idea to not only allow truckers to customize the storage options on their racks, but to add a badass custom text, backlit lightbar.
With this lightbar option, trukers can add their name, their handle, their business’ name, a short quote or phrase, or anything else you can think of (within 17 characters).
We haven’t gone out of our way to promote this new option quite yet, but some eagle-eyed users of our Flat Rack Builder have figured it out. As a result, we’ve got a few in the works.
For those of you who haven’t given it a shot yet, we’ll tell you how you can get a custom text lightbar for yourself!
NOTE: You can always just contact us and ask us for a custom text light bar. You don’t necessarily have to use our Flat Rack Builder.
STEP 1: Navigate to our Flat Rack Builder VIA the navigation links above (or click the big orange button above)
STEP 2: Begin building your headache rack, then navigate to Step 2 in the Rack Builder
NOTE: You can add whatever features you want to your headache rack in Rack Builder Step 1, just be sure to leave room for the light bar at the top.
STEP 3: Select “Light Bar (Custom Backlit Text)” from the Light Bars drop-down menu.
STEP 4: “TYPE HERE” will appear on the base headache rack. Click on it, and enter the text you want to appear on your headache rack.
NOTE: Maximum length of the headache rack text is 17 characters. If you have any errors noted in red, please correct them VIA the step tabs at the top of the builder before submitting your rack.
STEP 5: That’s it! But if you want to try different fonts, check out STEP 6 below:
STEP 6 (Optional): You can pick a different font if you’d like. Their locations are shown below:
NOTE: You’ll have to re-type the custom text when you select a new font. (We’re working on improving this feature)
