PRODUCT TOUR: Custom Text LED Light Bar on Rack/Tank Combo

See how we helped this customer use the slick custom text light bar feature on our headache rack builder to personalize their headache rack. 

What better way to personalize your headache rack than to have your nickname, handle, business name or otherwise placed prominently on your headache rack?

Even better, we laser cut your choice of phrasing out of our 1/8″ thick military/marine-grade aluminum, and backlight it using waterproof LEDs. To say it stands out is probably an understatement.

It looks really badass.

Truckers love personalizing their trucks, and successful businesses know the importance of branding. Whatever your reasoning, when we launched the ability to add custom backlit text light bar on our headache rack builder, the response was immediate: it was a hit.

So, recently, while we were getting ready to ship another headache rack/hydraulic tank combo out the door, Jason snapped this quick video to give our customers a more up-close and dynamic look at the finished custom text LED light bar product.

So let’s talk a bit about how this customer went about builder his/her custom text light bar, and see how you can do something similar for your headache rack.

Next, look through the available accessories in “STEP 1: Base Rack & Accessories”

There are numerous options for you to pick here. Feel free to choose whichever accessories you want for your headache rack. Just watch for errors, which will be showin in red below your selection. If you do encounter an error, you’ll have to change your selection.

For the purpose of recreating the rack in the video, we’ve chosen:

• 76″ Rack Width
• Checkerplate finish (was already pre-selected)
• Left & Right Cabinets, Flat Top (1414)
• Jailbar Window & Cabinet (1400+1415)
• “None” for the bottom of the rack.

Then, click the orange “NEXT” button to proceed to Builder Step 2.

In Builder Step 2: More Accessories, we have even more to choose from, including our main target: The Custom Text LED Light Bar.

Again, choose whichever accessories you want for your headache rack. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for errors, which will be shown in red below your selection. If you do encounter an error, you’ll have to change your selection.

For the purpose of recreating the rack in the video, we’ve chosen:

• Add Load Light Tabs
• Light Bar (Custom Backlit Text)

NOTE: When you select “Light Bar (Custom Backlit Text)”, a few options show up. On the left, on top of the headache rack, you’ll see “TYPE HERE”, but don’t type anything just yet.

Below your “Light Bar (Custom Backlit Text” selection three font options will show up. You can experiment with these as you please, keeping an eye on “TYPE HERE” to see how the font looks.

When you find a font you like, select the red “TYPE HERE” and enter your own content; you handle, business name, truck name, whatever you want!

Then, click the orange “NEXT” button to proceed to Builder Step 3.

In Builder Step 3: Hydraulic Tanks & Mounting, we will be choosing whether or not we need a hydraulic tank, or storage between the headache rack’s legs. We can also choose our mounting kit, here.

Go ahead and select the accessories you want for your headache rack. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for errors, which will be shown in red below your selection. If you do encounter an error, you’ll have to change your selection.

For the purpose of recreating the rack in the video, we’ve chosen:

• 30 GAL Hydraulic Tank

NOTE: When you select a 30, 50 or 70 gallon tank, a mounting kit will be chosen for you. If you select “None” for your hydraulic tank, you’ll be able to choose from three different boot boxes and the mounting kit you want.

Then, click the orange “NEXT” button to proceed to Builder Step 4.

In Builder Step 4: We’re done customizing the headache rack itself.

From here, you’re pretty much done. Just enter you contact information, and press the orange “submit” button.
