We’ve built a lot of day cab boxes to date.

Some of them are pretty much simple cross boxes. Others are more complex with drawers, shelves, and hidden/multiple compartments. This is one of those times.

But this box is more than just a mix of shelves, hidden/multiple compartments, and drawers. This box has a hidden compartment, but it serves a special and specific purpose. We could tell you what it is, but you’ll have to watch the video (or read the description) to find out. It’s more fun this way!

Custom Day Cab Storage Box (With Hidden Compartment) Features:

Jason takes you through all of the features of this custom day cab toolbox in the video, but, as usual, we’ll transcribe the features below you reference.

• Smooth 1/8-inch thick military/marine-grade aluminum construction.
• Stainless steel t-handles on all doors.
• Reinforced (braced) top lid for rigidity.
• Gas shocks hold top lid open.
• Shallow main compartment – customer wants to store long, slim items up here.
• Hidden Compartment in shallow main compartment is actually a battery box. It incudes holes and grommets for wiring, hold-down brackets, and ships all all the hardware needed to hold the batteries down securely.
• Each side cabinet has an open storage area on top, and a set of pull-out drawers below.

Basically, this customer needed a battery box as well as extra storage. We were able to help him get both with this cleverly designed day cab storage box, and it turned out great!
